A native of Moline, Illinois, Michael McNeill was the owner and President of a landscape design, installation, and maintenance organization. He maintained an excellent and long-standing business relationship with his clients in private communities, governmental entities, and commercial organizations located in Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois by providing outstanding customer service.

The family’s vacation timeshare on Marco Island introduced McNeill to the beautiful horticulture and landscaping in Southwest Florida. At that time he made it a goal to relocate to the Naples area upon the college graduation of his two children. McNeill has found the move to Naples has been worth the effort, and his passion for the plants and trees in beautiful Southwest Florida continues.

Education and career-field expertise are important to McNeill, and he became a Florida Certified Horticulture Professional in 2003. He then continued with his education and received his Certified Arborist designation in 2006.

“I had heard good comments about Crawford Landscaping, and I wanted to be part of it,” said McNeill. “Crawford has good core values. We provide a quality product and exceptional customer service, and we’re a company that does what we say we’re going to do. We’ve built our company on those principles, and it is put into practice every single day on the operational level.”

McNeill’s active networking with the Florida Nursery Growers and Landscape Association as well as Lee/Collier county property management associations, ignited his interest in Crawford Landscaping — due to exceptional growth and reputation for quality work. As a result, McNeill joined the Crawford Landscaping team in the fall of 2006 and now serves as Sales/Account Manager, working closely with homeowners associations and high-rise commercial buildings to identify their needs and address their concerns.

As Sales Manager, McNeill is often found off property, meeting with prospective clients, walking a site and giving estimates. On the Account Management side, McNeill serves as the client liaison. McNeill considers himself an ambassador of Crawford Landscaping and the company’s biggest cheerleader. “If I didn’t believe in the product, I wouldn’t be able to promote it,” said McNeill. “My wife always tells me that people trust me, so in my everyday job I feel my best two assets are my experience and the fact that people know I am someone they can trust.”

When McNeill isn’t concentrating on the Crawford Landscaping business, he spends his time as an avid fitness enthusiast. He is a seasoned marathoner, having competed in more than 15 marathons and runs the Naples’ beachfront daily. Additionally, he and his wife bicycle on the weekends, and of course, golf remains one of his favorite pastimes. McNeill is the father of two attorneys, a daughter who served as an Air Force JAG and is currently General Counsel for the City of Gainesville’s utility company, and a son who had been a corporate attorney in Manhattan and is currently General Counsel for Occidental Petroleum Abu Dhabi, UAE.
